This was a beautiful birthday party held at Del Posto in New York City. An elegant evening filled with alot of love and laughter. A performance by the Princeton University Tigertones topped things off. Jessica and her husband Bryan both attended Princeton and Bryan used to sing with the Tigertones. So sweet.

There was so much love in the air. That was all that mattered at this wedding. Love. And a gorgeous setting. Sean and Eliza chose an estate in Norfolk, CT, paired it with some amazing barbecue and let the day unfold. Their friends joined them for the weekend, most of them staying at the estate together. It was all about having a good time. I believe their mission was accomplished.

Some of my favorite touches included a bouquet made of herbs (bride’s a chef), self-serve cobbler for dessert, a brother who sang at the ceremony, a friend who spinned late night and some of the best pulled pork I’ve had in awhile.

Many moons ago when we were in college, my roommates and I used to listen to Jerry Seinfeld’s I’m Telling You For The Last Time CD on repeat. We would sit on the couch, or should I say we would roll around on the floor, dying of laughter. You know the silent, gasping for air kind of laugh? That was pretty much the routine. We listened to it daily for awhile and still to this day, repeat the lines to each other on occasion. A few years later Brendan (who used to do stand-up from time-to-time) and I traveled to Vegas to see Jerry perform live in concert for one of his birthdays and today I noticed I own both of Jessica Seinfeld’s cookbooks.

This June I was invited to photograph the 10th Anniversary Bedtime Bash held by Jessica Seinfeld’s charity Baby Buggy at Victoria Gardens in Central Park. Although it was a warm day, they had a wonderful turnout and I was honored to be there to capture the event as it unfolded.

I’m proud to say we are big supporters of the Seinfelds around here. Thank You Baby Buggy for including me in this wonderful event!

I’m shooting the Rye Vehicle Fair this weekend. This will be my 2nd time to document this lovely event and luckily the rain is supposed to stop by then. Keeping my fingers crossed.

These are from a recent baptism I photographed for the Kelley family. Little Campbell was so well behaved for his intimate ceremony at St. Ignatius. As I was posting these I realized I haven’t posted their fall shoot, one of the many fall shoots I didn’t get around to posting from last year. Hopefully I will be back with those tomorrow, before we head to California for a week. I’m counting down the days until our departure on Sunday.

I went to to high school with Loryn and have known her family for many years. You can only imagine how honored I was when her father called to inquire about hiring me photograph Loryn’s wedding. To say I really wanted the job was an understatement. They are such a lovely family, the wedding was being held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the reception was taking place at The Boathouse. A picture perfect wedding photographers dream of photographing. No added pressure, right?

The weather was perfect and the wedding was seamless. Thank you Dorsey family for allowing me to be there as your photographer. It was a day to remember not only for you, but for me as well.

To wrap up the week I will leave you with a few photos from a recent baby shower I photographed. Chrissy (who I used to work with at JWT) is pregnant with a baby girl. Her sister planned a gorgeous brunch to celebrate the arrival of this little one at the Crosby Street Hotel. I was honored they asked me to come and document the event. Everything was perfect including the amazing cake by Katie Robinson of The Painted Lily. You can’t miss it – the baby carriage/cake was the highlight of the day.

The night of the blizzard a couple weeks ago, I shot this gorgeous wedding at the Gramercy Park Hotel. Out of respect for my client’s privacy and their guests I will only be posting the details shots from the evening. And what an evening it was. As New York City fell quiet under the falling snow, an intimate, candle-lit wedding took place on the roof the GPH. The amazingly talented event planner Sofia Crokos, as always, made sure every last detail was perfect. Warm rich toned candles, linens and flowers (by LMD) adorned each table and every corner of the room. All was glowing. Enjoy.

Rebecca and Dave are from Australia. They married about 4 years ago under somewhat strenuous circumstances. Rebecca’s mother grew ill so they quickly put a ceremony together so she could be there to see them marry. She passed away only a few weeks after.

They have visited New York City many times but this visit was a little different. Rebecca decided it was time to document their union in a place that’s very special to them. She found me online and felt a connection since I have lost my mother as well. After following my blog for about a year, she emailed me, told me her story and hired me to spend the day with them, touring the city while taking their portraits.

Immediately I felt very comfortable with Dave and Rebecca. Throughout our afternoon I learned quite a bit about the two. They are very warm and low-key. I loved that Rebecca made her bouquet at Whole Foods. They travel often, have a very cute dog named Stella and love Coke a Cola.

Our afternoon ended with getting lost in Central Park. They were happy to see unexplored areas of the park, or so they said. I could have photographed them all day just to listen to their gorgeous accents, lost or found.

Allyson and Brian were married secretly at City Hall the day before we took these photos. They unveiled their surprise marriage to their friends and family over a beautiful dinner at Bouley. They decided they wanted it to be just the two of them, no stress, no fuss – a simple “I do.” We spent the afternoon downtown in Tribeca documenting them as husband and wife, the new Mr. and Mrs. Liu. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. I was honored to part of your special day. Best of luck to you two.
