the james family – bridgehampton, ny

10.06.2010

I must say Miss Scarlett was the star of this shoot. I’ve photographed the James family numerous times but this shoot was all about Scarlett. The pink glow on the beach and her pink and white striped bathing suit were a match made in heaven.

An afternoon with the Wall family is time well spent. I got a tour of their adorable house in Amagansett. Along my tour we played wiffle ball, went for a swing, painted a painting, hammered a few nails, played bed olympics, read a book, changed shirts, went for a bike ride and took a few photos. If only every shoot were like this. Thank you Walls. Once again, it was awesome.

I LOVE these. My heart did a small flip when I saw them.

the peterson family – east hampton, ny

09.27.2010

I have been photographing Dylan since he was just about 2 years old. I love that how at the beginning of every shoot he acts as if our photo shoot it such a drag but within a few minutes he’s giggling and joking around. On this particular shoot he allowed his inner “Dwylan” to come out. Dwylan is his dancing alter ego, seen here…

His mom is just as great as he is. I just love photographing the two of them together.

All Christopher wanted to do was play with the sand, rocks and shells by the water. So that’s what we did. I love this first shot of his strawberry blonde hair and his smile. Another favorite from the summer.

I look forward to seeing this family all summer out east. Mom and I have a special connection. She is warm and sweet and her family is no different. I know our shoot will be made up of magical moments. Our evening was full of golden light. I find it fascinating how I can meet different clients on the same beach evening after evening and the light will look completely different. This evening had a warm glow, just like the Mahinis.

And then we went to a field to catch a few before sunset…

I first met Angela and Constantine when Angela was pregnant with Bruno. We strolled through their NYC neighborhood, Tribeca. Those photos can be seen here. We had another shoot once Bruno arrived. Those photos are posted here. This summer we met at their East Hampton home one early morning. I fell in love with their chairs. We played by the pool. To top it off Bruno took a bath right before nap time. We have quite the selection of photos now thanks to Bruno and his arrival. He sure is cute. Thank you Karides family.

In the late fall of last year Lulu called me to book a shoot. Our shoot date arrived and it poured. We were bummed but came up with plan B, shoot this summer in the Hamptons. So that’s exactly what we did. We met at the Lulu’s mother’s house which was gorgeous. I couldn’t get enough of the landscaping and green paint and no wonder, mom is Betsey Johnson. The girls were good enough to eat. Sundresses, pink crocks and silly bands – loved them stacked up Layla’s wrists. A beautiful morning with the Marguilies family, which I think it was definitely worth the wait. Thank you!

the eisenstadt family – shelter island, ny

I’m not sure what I liked more. The family, the canoe, the old boat, the dock, the pirate hat, the car or mom’s necklace. It all worked so well together. I was lucky to be a part of it. Thank you Eisenstadts.

the levine family, bridgehampton, ny

09.09.2010

Meet the Levine family. This was our first shoot together and it was excellent. They were so relaxed and natural in front of the camera. They invited me in, offered me a glass of wine (thank you!) and took me to their back yard for some baseball and golf. Then off to the beach. We hit such a sweet spot when the kids went swimming in the bay. They just stripped down and dove in, right as the sun was setting. I couldn’t stop clicking my shutter. We couldn’t have planned it any better.

Thank you Levine family. It was such a pleasure.

And then swimming in the bay… These next two shots are some of my favorites from the summer.

the lipsky family – sagg main beach

08.27.2010

This gorgeous family bought their mom our photo shoot for her birthday. We met at one of my favorite beaches, Sagg Main and shot away. They were super easy. It was a nice way to kick off the beginning of a long run of shoots.

If you don’t hear from me much over the next week, it’s because when I’m not shooting I’m spending time with my little ones. Holding onto the last days of summer. XO
